Limavady and District Childminding Support Group meets every Monday morning
from 9.30 to 11.30 am in Buttercup Toy Library, Rossmar School, Ballyquin Road, Limavady. These facilities are excellent for our minded children as there are a wide range of toys and equipment available to play with. From cars, trains and other small world toys to arts and crafts the children can participate in group play or individual interest material.
There are currently 8 childminders from the Limavady area using this Drop-In facility and we would love to encourage more to come along and get involved. We havea snack time around 10.30 when the children enjoy toast and fruit with cupsof juice and childminders can take the opportunity over a cup of tea or coffee to discuss issues of relevance within their own settings.
The fee for attendance each week is £1 per child and this money has been used to secure the employment of a Resource Worker on Thursday mornings when the Library is open to parents, nurseries and playgroups to come and borrow toys and equipment for a period of 3 weeks at a time.
