Over 100 registered Childminders will celebrate 21 years of supporting and delivering home based childcare for children and families across Northern Ireland at NICMA’s 21st birthday Conference. Councillor Wallace Brown, Belfast’s Lord Mayor will officially open the proceedings at 10.00am and will refer to Childminding as an extension to the family for many thousands of children from babies to teenagers and one which provides opportunities for individual attention as well as the rich learning environment of the home and local community.
The Conference will also launch the Health Promotion Agency’s ‘Nutritional Matters for the Early Years’, a resource that has been developed in conjunction with NICMA for all Childminders.
